Brooklyn legendary radio DJ Joe Causi (WCBS FM) and Bronx music producer Sal Abbatiello (Fever Records) usher in a revue of classic Doo Wop tunes in Brooklyn. Featuring the contemporary lineup of Frank Pizarro, former lead singer of LA Doo Wop group The Platters; Charlie Thomas’ Drifters, performing their smash hit “There Goes My Baby” with Jeff Hall; The Marvelettes, Motown’s first big girl group forever known for the classic 1961 tune “Please Mr. Postman”; Bill Haley Jr’s Comets bringing their unforgettable early rock and roll hit “Rock Around the Clock”; Johnny Farina, one half of the brotherly duo of Santo & Johnny, best known for their 1959 instrumental melody “Sleep Walk”; and The Chiclettes, a contemporary tribute act to iconic women artists such as the Supremes, Chaka Khan, Lesley Gore, Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, and the Pointer Sisters. With support from WABC DJ Vinnie Medugno and the Coda Band.
